Goodland is an emo/rock band from Stevens Point, WI formed in 2017. Their combination of twinkly guitar, punchy drums, and tight bass lines creates something truly unique in the modern music scene.
"This is a good band with a boatload of potential and an impressive eponymous release." - Divide and Conquer Music
"Goodland’s songs speak about deep, very personal experiences, some which have affected the entire family." - Espy Girl
Formed in the beginning of 2017, the emo/rock band Goodland started out in Stevens Point, WI as the musical ideas of brothers Aaron and Aiden Trinkner. After a few weeks of tinkering around with nothing but an electric drum set and a single snowball mic for guitar and vocals, they soon recruited their cousin Jake Shirley as a second guitar player and began a hunt for a bass player. Tyler Marshall was soon discovered and quickly joined the band holding down the low end.
Goodland wrote and recorded their debut self-titled EP that summer, which was released in December of that year. In the midst of writing and recording, Goodland played as many shows as possible around Wisconsin to become established in the music scene. The summer of 2018 saw Goodland's first ever tour, hitting states around the Midwest including Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Iowa.
Shortly after the adventure around the Midwest, Goodland parted ways with Jake, who left to pursue other interests. After the departure, Goodland went on a brief hiatus to recollect and decide where they wanted to go as a band. After a roughly two month break, the boys decided they wanted to continue pursuing music, and recorded their second, currently untitled, EP in December of 2018.
Their new EP "Like All Else" is set to release on April 5th, 2019!
